What are StoreTrader Widgets?
They're helper apps which pop up at the PoS terminal to let you see all kinds of things. For example, you could:
• Check the stock position for any product while you're serving a customer
• Call up the details of a product from your website
• Compare a photo of a customer with the person at the till
• Run a short training video for the operator 
In fact you can display anything you want!
How do they work?
Like
the Configuration Wizard and Transaction Rules, StoreTrader Widgets are
a way for you to tailor the system to better suit your own retail
environment. They are triggered by a preset key on the touchscreen till
which calls up a pre-written application. We supply sample applications
which you can modify, or you can write your own.
Can anyone do this?
You
need to be able to do a little bit of programming to make your own
Widget, but if you know a bit about SQL queries and scripts it's not
difficult. Your StoreTrader Reseller will be delighted to help.
