Easy to install & change
You
won't need to spend pots of money on consultants to configure
StoreTrader, even though it has tons of features. Our Configuration
Wizard leads you through defining users, how you want your receipts to
look, how you want the preset keys on your touchscreen to work, and
much more. And you can re-run the Wizard any time you want to change
anything.Cash Management
You can get a firm handle on your cashflow , even with many stores
across the country, because you can do a cash pickup at any time and
cashing up at end of day is online. The Cash Drawer report tells you
precisely what cash and other payments are in each till at any time.Promotions & discounts
You can set up new promotions when you want. 'Buy 1, get 50% off the
second'; '10% off if you spend £50 or more' - even linked promotions
like meal deals ('buy one of these sandwiches, and one of these snacks
and get one of these drinks all for £2'). You can set them up with from
and to dates to make sure they don't go on forever! Customer and staff
discounts are easily handled, linked to a preset key on the touchscreen
if you like.
Products & stockYou
can create purchase orders, book in stock (really easily with our
handheld stock check and delivery check-in system), transfer stock
between branches and have the system generate suggested purchase orders
for you. Or if you want to handle stock through your accounting system
that's fine too - StoreTrader will pass across all the stock movements
automatically.Easily change prices
You can import price changes autoamtically from another system (such as
from C+D in a pharmacy) or set them up to be applied automatically
at the till from some defined date. Our barcode label print utility
will print product and shelf edge labels on a label printer on on A4.

Import from other systemsIf
you want to do merchandising or range planning in Excel or another
specialist system, or if your suppliers send you lists of new products
and pricing, or you want to manage your product and supplier
information outside of StoreTrader - that's fine. Product Link
automatically tracks product price and description changes and
automatically changes them in StoreTrader, so when you scan the barocde
at the till the item is immediately recognised and the price is right.

Account customersYou
can set up a new account customer at the till if you want (and you have
the authority), or you can automatically import these from your
accounting or CRM system. You can see an online statement of all the
sales to that customer and the current account balance at any time.

Gift & Loyalty cardsIt's
really not expensive to get your own gift cards designed and printed.
They can be agreat way to have someone buy a gift for a friend from
your shop, but still leave the choice of gift open. In StoreTrader it's
really easy to set up gift cards and then track them as they're used.
You
can also set up a loyalty scheme and allocate points for each £1 your
customers purchase, and then reward them with discounts or special
promotions.

Chip & PINWith
StoreTrader you can manage card payments automatically. StoreTrader
will send the transaction amount to the card termnal (pinpad) so you
don't have to re-key it, and the customer will get just one receipt.
StoreTrader will send all the days transactions to the bank
automatically overnight and give you settlement reports so you can see
exactly what has been credited to your account.

Easy to extendEven
with such a wide-ranging set of capabilities StoreTrader can't do
everything that you and all its other users want. So we made it easy to
extend, by you and by programmers. One example is through transaction rules. For
example, if you sell alcohol and you want to remind the sales assistant
to ask the customer for proof of age, you can set up a rule which sends
this prompt to the till every time a bottle of wine or beer is
purchased, and requires the assistant to confirm Yes or No (and key
some identity too, if you wish). You can look back through the Audit
Log at any time to confirm who sold what, and when.
Our
StoreTrader Widgets are a cool new way for programmers familiar with
scripting and HTML to provide information from other systems (such as a
CRM or accounting system, or any other system anywhere on the internet)

StoreTrader Live & hosted StoreTrader
Live lets you manage one or any number of stores from anywhere on the
Web. With StoreTrader Live all the tills in your shops are linked over
the internet to a central Store Server which manages everything. All
the sales, stock and cash data is sent constantly over to the Store
Server, and in turn new products, price changes, customer balances
and other changed data is sent back out to all the
tills. Using any web browser you can see the sales and stock
situation
for any till or any store, wherever you’re connected. So you get a
complete picture of your trading operations. Instantly – and if you
want, graphically.
But
with one huge extra feature. Unlike other, browser-based, PoS systems,
StoreTrader doesn't rely on the internet connection. If the network
connection is lost, your shop assistants won't even notice
because every StoreTrader PoS terminal has its own local database
so it runs completely independently. And when the network reconnects,
StoreTrader just resynchronises the local tills with the Store Server
and carries on as if nothing had happened. And we use StoreTrader Live to distribute software changes so you don't need to send out a technician to update the tills. Accessible from anywhere
Just
because the PoS terminals have to be in your stores doesn’t mean you
have to. You can connect to your store sever from
any web browser- on a PC in another building, a laptop at home and even
an iPhone or mobile phone on the move – to see all the system reports
and graphs.

Works with your favourite (accounting) system
Getting
data out of (and into) StoreTrader is easy, in XML, .csv files or
through the ODBC link into MS Excel or another utility. Or you can
access the SQL database directly with any reporting tool you prefer to
design your own reports and queries.
StoreTrader’s Accounting Link generates postings for all sales,
stock and nominal accounts, and will post these directly at end of day
or whenever (and as often as) you wish. There are complete links
defined to support this automatic posting to a variety of accounting
packages, including Sage Line 50 and 500, and the popular Mamut
integrated system for small and medium businesses.
The
Product and Customer Link facility helps you automatically update product
and customer information in StoreTrader from the accounting or any
other system, such as supplier catalogues, so your StoreTrader database
is always up to date.
