Normally the Head Office wants to maintain control over such things as defining products and prices. StoreTrader's Enterprise Server supports this by automatically distributing these changes to the shops, top-down. In a pharmacy group, details from C+D of new products need to be distributed this way automatically.

But sometimes products arrive at the shop before C+D (or another data supplier) has supplied their definitions.
Smart Sync is a new capability in StoreTrader to handle this. With Smart Sync,  any branch can create  a new record when the product is first delivered, and the Enterprise server will pick it up and distribute it - so all other shops know about it. Later, when the product appears on C+D, Enterprise updates it with the PIP code and description and sends it to all the branches.
